Review for The Longstore, Charlestown My wife and I had an incredible dining experience at The Longstore in Charlestown. We visited on a Wednesday evening at 8:15 pm, and despite the restaurant being busy for a weekday, the service was outstanding. We both ordered the Sirloin Steak with Skinny Fries and a side of Mac & Cheese, and everything was cooked to perfection. The steak was full of flavor, beautifully seared, and tender, while the fries were crisp and well-seasoned. The Mac & Cheese was rich, creamy, and the perfect indulgent side. A special mention to Katie, who served us with such warmth and professionalism. Even with the restaurant bustling, she made sure we were well taken care of, adding to the overall fantastic experience. The Longstore truly delivers on both food quality and service. If you’re in Charlestown and looking for an amazing steak, this is the place to go! Highly recommended.
Had a lovely light lunch with great service and chill atmosphere. The food was amazing, both in terms of taste and presentation and the prices were very reasonable. Had the best coffee I’ve tasted in the UK in the last 4 weeks. We will be back.
Was very happy with the service, cleanliness and atmosphere. Food was amazing, we had the Sirloin sharer which came with prawns and scallops. It is on the pricier side but it’s worth it. Would definitely recommend, and if we return to the area we will be visiting again!
Ate here on a Saturday night, very lively, very attentive service, staff were great, available but not pushy. Food was lovely, not massive portions but certainly quality over quality. Can't wait to go back and try something else off the menu.
An absolute must if you visit Cornwall- with views over the harbour, superb locally caught fish, sticky toffee pudding to die for ...the chef and staff all deserve a shout out as they made our evening dining experience so special.....even sorting out a local cab to take us back to our hotel. We always eat at the Longstore when we stay in nearby St Austell. Marvellous food, service and atmosphere. My son doesn’t eat red meat or fish any more, so his choice was somewhat limited but he said his portabello mushroom and mac n cheese pattie was the best burger (meat or veggie) he’s ever had. My husband had the cheeseburger and said it was fab. I had the shredded beef starter with chips and loved it. Great drinks, beer, wine and cocktail menu with some good low alcohol options Highly recommend the Longstore - we’ll definitely visit again. Make sure you pay for parking in the car park next door, even in an evening. We’ve been fined there before when we thought we might get away with it :(
Really good food, excellent waiting staff and a nice ambience. We booked this as a special occasion and were not disappointed. Do check the menu and prices before you go, so you don't get a surprise. For us it's a little expensive to go regularly but just right for that special day. We booked well in advance and got a reassuring SMS the day before.
10/10 in all areas. had such a lovely evening for our anniversary and the staff were so friendly. we even got a free glass of prosecco to celebrate which was really appreciated! :) would love to return someday!
